If you ever want to learn how to speak American and need a tutorial album, Jim Croce is the man for you!

I consumed this album in its entirety hundreds of time and I do not believe there was ever a road trip I embarked where this album did not come with me. Perfect in the morning, great with lunch, outstanding with dinner as background music and most excellent with a fat doobie in the evening, bottom line this is a record for all seasons and times of day.

Jim Croce was a painter and one of the greatest singer songwriters of all time, who was taken from us tragically way too soon and after only three album and at the apex of his artistic expression. If you are not into Country Folk, or Soft rock do this album a favor and take a listen, you are not going to be disappointed and while traveling through the Pennsylvania Appalachians aids in your understanding of his prose it is not a necessity across the world thousands of fans have sprouted and this remains one of the top selling albums in my shop (maybe because I play the damn thing so often?).

Well, I know it’s kind of late
I hope I didn’t wake you
But what I gotta say can’t wait
I know you’d understand

‘Cause ev’ry time I tried to tell you
The words just came out wrong
So I’ll have to say I love you in a song

And if you are a man, a certain type of man, a man of yore, a bit rough around the edges, than you have experienced this but could never find the right words to describe it. Enter Jim Croce, problem solved.
